A psychologist and therapist in training who truly understands the path from mental pain

I help people overcome mental challenges and transform them into personal strength. My work isn't just based on theory – it's based on personal experience with what you might be going through.

👉 Change is possible. And it can be deeper than you can imagine right now.

My Story

My journey:
from survival to inner stability

My name is Pavel Pek.
I'm a psychologist and therapist in training.

Before I began helping others, I went through a long and challenging journey of mental healing. I didn't gain understanding of the human psyche just through study – I gained it through experience.

I personally experienced and overcame:

OCD — obsessive-compulsive disorder
Social anxiety — fear of people and social situations
Depression — periods of deep despair
Cyclothymia — significant mood swings
Severe addiction — to video games
Chronic pain — back, joint, stomach, neck pain since age 7, all of psychosomatic origin

These aren't just terms from textbooks.
This was the reality of my daily life.

What this journey taught me

Each of these challenges became my teacher. Pain taught me humility, suffering taught me understanding, and gradual change taught me inner strength.

Today, I'm not a therapist who "knows how it should be solved." I'm a therapist who knows what it's like to go through it – and come out the other side.

And this is where my greatest value comes from.

Overcome your mental challenges
and grow as a person

I believe that:

mental challenges are not a failure

they are not the final destination

but can be the beginning of deep personal transformation

My work isn't built on quick fixes or empty phrases. It's built on the idea that when you go through your darkness consciously and with support, you can emerge stronger, more stable, and more authentic.

100% committed to your growth

My greatest strength as a therapist isn't what I learned from books, but what I experienced firsthand.

When you tell me about your pain, I don't just understand — I FEEL it, because I've been there.

Psychologist & Therapist in Training

Why choose me?

Most therapists

  • Know mental disorders primarily from literature
  • Have never personally experienced a clinical diagnosis
  • Offer primarily theoretical understanding

My approach

  • I've personally lived with severe mental challenges
  • I know the way out because I've walked it
  • I combine professional training with deep personal experience
  • I offer understanding that can't be read – only lived

👉 I'm not just a guide. I'm proof that change is possible.

My own method

Transformative Therapy (TT)

I am the first Czech psychologist to create my own form of therapy

Transformative Therapy consists of 6 pillars: insight, acceptance, warrior, life, flexibility, and existentialism.

While conventional psychotherapy often focuses on "fixing" a person – removing symptoms so they can return to "normal" (from minus to zero) – TT has a higher goal. We don't just try to remove the boulder of psychological problems from your path. The goal is to become the best version of yourself.

Transformative Therapy will help you live your dream life not despite your disorder, but because of it.

If you didn't have your psychological problem, you would never have gained the enormous motivation that your pain gives you to truly change your life for the better.

It's similar to classic stories where a proud nobleman is cast under a spell that turns him into a beggar. Only through this hardship does he eventually turn his life around and become a better person.

TT is rooted in stoicism and views things similarly. Its 6 pillars can lead you not only to overcoming your problem, but I believe also to above-average mental health.

The 6 Pillars of Transformative Therapy

1. Insight

You will understand the patterns of your problem (emotional, cognitive, and behavioral) and its causes. You will learn to identify these patterns as "something outside of you" – as something that is not you, but your psychological problem.

2. Acceptance

You will learn not to fight these patterns and not to run away from them. You will discover how to accept all your emotions and feel free and safe in your body, which is a fundamental prerequisite for mental health.

3. Warrior

Passivity ends here. You learn to act exactly opposite to what your fear dictates. You build courage and resilience in the real world.

4. Life

Many people wait until they're healed to start living. That's a trap. In TT, you start living your ideal life NOW. When your brain sees that you're functioning fully despite fear, it stops sending false alarms and your nervous system begins to heal naturally.

5. Flexibility

You will become like bamboo – flexible but unbreakable. You will learn to radically accept yourself and reality as it is, which is the key to inner peace.

6. Existentialism

We will focus on what Abraham Maslow called "self-transcendence" and "self-actualization." We will discuss philosophies that will change your view of suffering, and you will learn to find positive meaning in your problem. It's that moment when one day you can say: "That crisis was ultimately the best thing that happened to me, because only after it did I start living fully."

How TT works in practice

For each pillar, I will guide you through specific techniques to build bulletproof mental health. The entire TT process is a bit like a video game – at the beginning, we rate your pillars and our goal is to get them all to at least level 7/10.

There is a direct correlation: the stronger your pillars, the less power the problem has over your life.

7-10/10
Pillar strength = Problem drops to 0-3/10
5/10
Half-strength pillars = Half the suffering

That's why our goal is to get into the "green numbers" and exceed the 7-point threshold for all pillars.

What makes TT unique

Transformative Therapy is unique compared to other approaches in its comprehensiveness. It doesn't settle for less, but uniquely combines the pragmatism of cognitive-behavioral therapies (CBT) with the wisdom and depth of existential approaches like logotherapy. It thus offers a path not only to healing, but to complete life transformation.

What clients say

Real stories from people who found their path to change

"My collaboration with Mr. Pek lasted about a year and it was my first experience with therapy, in which I didn't have much trust after my terrible experiences with the public sector. I came to therapy with death anxiety that wouldn't let me sleep at all. Mr. Pek accomplished what I considered impossible to this day – he freed me from this irrational fear. He used a whole variety of different methods and approaches, showing he truly understands his field. Finally, I must highlight the human side and interest that Mr. Pek has for his clients – in my eyes, he is a true expert."

Patrik V.

Death anxiety

"I came to Mr. Pek during one of the worst periods of my life. I had gone through a painful breakup and ended up alone with a lot of things. I had almost constant anxiety and a feeling that I would never feel better. Although I'm a highly functional person, Mr. Pek took me completely seriously and I felt like someone was finally hearing me. I didn't believe that anxiety could almost disappear. But it happened! I'm finally beginning to understand what 'loving yourself' really means. I highly recommend Mr. Pek."

Eva M.

Anxiety

"Pavel, thank you so much! Thanks to working with you, I've completely overcome my nearly fifteen-year depression. I'm at a point where I feel like those 'normal people' I always envied so much. I also discovered a path to God and Stoicism, and my life is so much deeper overall. Today I can say that depression is the best thing that ever happened to me in life – and I never thought I'd say this in a million years."

Viktor L.

Depression (15 years)

"Two years ago I contacted you about my adult son..."

Lenka M.

"I would wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Pavel..."

Žaneta S.

"I've only been seeing Pavel for 6 months, yet..."
